Educational Background
M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen, 2003.
HD/B.Sc. International Business, CBS 2012.
Professional background
1. Sanos Bioscience A/S
a spin-off of the Nordic Bioscience group
Sanos had one primary project group. Phase 1 and 2 clinical trials with GLP-2 for the indication of osteoporosis administered by SCI.
Sanos had a connection to an industrial Ph.D. school but there was not time for any Ph.D. In Sanos I got insight into clinical development, API, formulations, stability studies, setting up labs, managed approval for GMP etc. Starting in R&D as project manager and ending up as QC manager.
In Sanos I sat in with the CEO and was introduced to the business aspect of science and found this very interesting so I started at CBS studying HD/B.Sc. International Business.
2. Phenomenex Nordic, Danaher
Then I entered sales in the chromatography company, Phenomenex, Nordic now a part of Danaher. Although in Denmark Phenomenex was a very American styled sales organization with very perfomance based, CRM systems, KPI’s, marketing, sales reports etc. But obviously we still had to deliver super quality science and service. I got to get in contact with pretty much anything that had a lab from food over pharma to paint etc. Analytical Chemistry, sample preparation, SPE, preparative chromatography.
3. Cooper Fertility and Genomic Solutions
International hence I joined ORIGIO now Cooper Fertility Companies. All types of medical devices and capital equipment for IVF distributor sales in The Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.
In distributor sales you need to know it all. Science, price setting, regional KOL management, regional meetings, sales training, regulatory affairs, bannking, compliance. Cooper’s growth strategy was mainly by acquisitions so there was a lot of distribution channels optimization. Suddenly I had so many product groups that I found that it was more efficient and fun to organize more regional meetings and workshops where we would have several countries and distributors attending.
Now I have started my own business to help companies with what I am good at.
